We live in a society where litigation is steadily increasing, the ‘blame culture’ is getting stronger and awards by the courts are getting higher. Liability insurance will offer protection against claims for damages which could have a major financial impact on your livelihood.

Cover includes:

Public Liability

  • Providing financial protection in the event that you or your business is held liable for injuring, or causing damage to the property of a member of the public. This might include visitors, ramblers, trespassers, bona fide sub-contractors, both on your own premises and at third party premises where you or your employees may work.
  • Claims can occur, for example, as a result of negligence, accident and breach of contract.
  • Limits of indemnity for both Public Liability and Products Liability of up to £5m are available to cover the cost of compensation or damages, which would include any legal fees incurred relating to the claim. Quotes for up to £10m can be obtained by special request.

Products Liability

  • Providing financial protection in the event that you or your business is found liable, following bodily injury and/or damage claims, arising from the products you may supply, manufacture, produce or design.
  • This is available as an extension to Public Liability cover.

Employers Liability

  • Providing financial protection in the event that you or your business is found liable, following a claim by an employee for ill-health or accident, that occurs whilst working, and attributed to the negligence of the employer.
  • Covers all employees, including contract, casual, volunteers, work experience and temporary staff.
  • It is compulsory for employers to have a minimum of £5m indemnity.
  • We offer £10m as standard, which can be used to cover the cost of compensation or damages as well as any legal fees incurred relating to the claim.
